What this cannot check
Sizing is the easy half. These are the rules a reviewer applies that no software can verify for you:
- Taken within the last 6 months
- Plain white or off-white background
- Full face, front view, eyes open, neutral expression
- Head between 50% and 69% of the image height, from top of hair to bottom of chin
- No glasses, no head covering except for religious purposes worn daily
Confirm these yourself
- Maximum file size — the official page could not be read automatically. Check the limit on the source page before uploading.
- Accepted file formats — JPEG is produced here because portals overwhelmingly require it, but confirm at the source.
